Ulannaq Ingemann (b. 1990) is a Greenlandic filmmaker based in Nuuk, Greenland. Ulannaq was born in Sisimiut, West Greenland, and was raised in the capital, Nuuk.
The interest to make films started from an assignment in high school during the making of a short film. This experience was spot on to Ulannaq and it only made sense for him to pursue audiovisual storytelling. In 2013-2014 he attended The European Film College in Denmark, which is an intense, international 8 1/2 month course. This was his stepping stone to a career in film. Ulannaq has since been a freelancing filmmaker.
With his one-mand company Ujâvaaq Pictures, Ulannaq took on multiple roles within filmmaking: directing, producing, cinematography, editing and sound designing in the genres of fiction, documentary and short. tHis biggest passion is to be a part of developing and improving the Greenlandic film industry.

Tunu – a dance film to highlight the magical, seriously wild land that is East Greenland. The word ‘Tunu’ translates into “backside” and is used by Greenlanders to describe East Greenland. Rigged from a rock formation on Kulusuk Island, we wanted to explore the intersection of image making, vertical dance and outdoor photography.

“You don’t look like a Greenlander” is a sentence heard often by tall blond Greenlander, Alberte. Despite being rased by a Greenlandic father, she looks more like her European mother. Since childhood, Alberte has heard these comments without questioning. Even though she felt like a Greenlander, she heard these sentences in both Greenland and Denmark. In AKUSAQ (2016)
she tries to understand. Can you not be tall and blond, when you are Greenlander? AKUSAQ (2016) is a film by Alberte Parnuuna Lings Skifte, made during her Bachelor Education in Film and Media Science in cooperation with Tone Ottilie, Ida Åkerstrøm Knudsen, Jesper Papior og Christian Grøn.
