Chef/Kitchen Assistant

We are looking for a new Chef/Kitchen Assistant to start as soon as possible.

 

We are seeking a chef or someone with similar experience:

 

  • Has knowledge of Greenlandic ingredients
  • Is able to maintain overview in a busy enviroment
  • Has experience in kitchen operations

 

Working hours is vary. Café opening hours are

  • Tuesday-Friday: 11:00-19:00
  • Saturday: 10:00-20:00
  • Sunday: 10:00-14:00

 

The working time is 48 hours per week

Katuaq is a commercial foundation based at Greenland’s Cultural Centre, working to promote Greenlandic culture both in Greenland and internationally through the development of cultural networks and partnerships. Katuaq operates its own cinema and café and is also a five-star meeting and conference venue. Katuaq collaborates with many different associations, businesses, organizations, and individuals within the cultural sector.

Katuaq’s main contributors are the Government of Greenland and Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq. In addition, Katuaq has several sponsors who support the many cultural events held throughout Greenland.

Tasks:

  • Provide good service
  • Make smoothies, coffee, tea etc.
  • Serve food etc. for hungry guests
  • Clearing the tables etc. Make sure the cafe always looks neat.
  • Prepare conferences in Katuaq
  • Bartend at concerts


You must be 18 years of age and able to work 40 hours a week.
