Are you our new Finance and HR Manager?
Katuaq – Greenland’s Cultural Centre is seeking an experienced Finance and HR Manager who is a team player with strong oversight and expertise in financial reporting.
With direct reference to the Director, you will have management responsibility for the finance department with a budget of approximately 35 million DKK annually. In addition, the position includes supporting HR tasks for approximately 20 salaried employees and 40 hourly employees employed at Katuaq.
The tasks are carried out in close collaboration with the Director and the rest of the management team. You will be part of the management team that handles the daily management of Katuaq.
Finance Responsibilities:
- Management of the finance department
- Timely and reliable monthly reporting to the Director and Board
- Further development of administrative systems
- Preparation of annual accounts for auditors
- Budget preparation
- Liquidity management
- Ongoing advice to departments, including financial consequences of investment projects
- Ongoing debtor and creditor follow-up
- Administration of Katuaq I/S, including accounting and contact with auditors
HR Responsibilities:
- Updating and developing HR tools
- Coordinating training and education initiatives for staff
- Updating the employee handbook and company policies
- Supporting other managers in personnel administration
- Monitoring the company’s insurance matters, etc.
- Staff development
- Having a special focus on the work environment
Your Profile:
We are looking for a person who can document experience in budget follow-up, financial reporting, and we expect that:
- You are ready to work with Katuaq’s values: collaboration, unity, trust, and respect.
- You are a team player and good at collaborating across departments.
- You possess strong communication skills. Your communication must ensure that you establish the right team spirit.
- You have good written and spoken language skills in Greenlandic, Danish, and English.
- You have experience with leadership roles.
- You are structured and have an overview.
- You are loyal and persistent.
