Katuaq and Nunatta (Inuisa) Qiteqatigiittarfiat – NuQi, on Friday, May 9, 2025, have just signed a three-year cooperation agreement aimed at elevating dance in Greenland. The agreement means that NuQi will become an even more active part of Katuaq’s events – either as a participant or co-creator of joint events.

"NuQi is happy and proud to, together with Katuaq, help lift dance in Nuuk and throughout Kalaallit Nunaat. Our agreement benefits professional dancers as well as dancing children and youth," says NuQi's project development leader, Ruth Montgomery-Andersen.

Katuaq recognizes NuQi’s great effort for dance in Nuuk and the strong audience the association has managed to attract through its events. Therefore, the cultural center looks forward to strengthening the relationship and creating even more opportunities for dance.

“It is wonderful that Katuaq is entering a cooperation agreement with NuQi. It is very important to support the dance world. For Katuaq, it is essential that all forms of art have a place in the cultural house,” says Katuaq’s director, Ivaaq Kriegel.
