About Mariann Mariann Meszaros Josefsen is a Sámi duojár from Lakselv in Northern Norway. She works primarily with dipmaduodji(Sámi soft handicrafts), creating traditional clothing, accessories and other handcrafted items rooted in the duodji traditions of the Porsanger/Karasjok area. Through her work, she is dedicated to preserving, developing and sharing Sámi craftsmanship and cultural heritage.
About the workshop Learn the traditional Sámi technique of tin thread embroidery by making your own bracelet from reindeer leather and tin thread. During the workshop, Mariann will introduce the materials, techniques and cultural background of this unique craft tradition. Suitable for beginners, no previous experience is required.
