Join Nikki Corbett of Sew Yup’ik for a Sealskin Crossbody Bag Workshop in Qooqqut!
In this hands-on cultural workshop, participants will hand sew their own crossbody bag using a pre-cut sealskin piece that will be added to the front of the bag. All materials—including the bag, thread, and sealskin—will be provided. This is a great opportunity to learn traditional techniques and connect with our ancestral knowledge through sewing. No experience is needed, and all are welcome. Let’s keep our culture thriving, one stitch at a time.
