Musical performance

Kusernerit is an acoustic band from Nuuk, Greenland consisting of Maali Hermansen (vocals), Jaaku Sørensen (guitarist and vocals) and Marius Petrussen (guitarist). Since their formation back in autumn 2018, the trio has played in several highly praised live concerts, both in and outside of Greenland. Most recently in Ilulissat during the Inuit Circumpolar Council's (ICC) delegate meeting and the Arctic People's Conference I 2023.

 

KUSERNERIT plays a mix of calm, emotional and up-tempo acoustic songs. At the center of their songwriting are the stories they tell with their music; about who we are as people, about our place in the universe and about their own people and culture. Like the band itself, the songs they create are all greater than their parts.

Musical performance

Ivaana is a Greenlandic singer-songwriter. Her first release (November 2021) was awarded "Talent of the year" award at the Koda Awards. In February 2023 she released her second EP (Tunguusaq).
