Collaboration on an Alcohol-Free National Day Event at Katuaq

On the occasion of Greenland’s National Day, Katuaq and Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq wish to create a safe, inclusive, and festive event for citizens of all ages.

The event will take place at Katuaq and will be an alcohol-free cultural celebration focused on community, music, joy, and Greenlandic culture. The purpose is to bring together families, young people, and adults in a positive setting where National Day can be celebrated in respectful and cozy surroundings without alcohol.

The evening’s program will feature live performances by:

Ilannguaq & Leillah

Tupaarnaq & Glenn Møller

Open stage (acustic), where local talents will have the opportunity to perform and contribute to the celebration

The collaboration between Katuaq and Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq is based on a shared desire to strengthen cultural communities and create healthy, positive experiences for the city’s residents — especially on an important day such as National Day.

There will be a strong focus on music, community, and activities in a safe environment where everyone is welcome.

We look forward to celebrating National Day together with the citizens of Nuuk in the heart of the city.
