In the 2000s, Chilly Friday were Greenland’s ultimate superstars, playing sold-out concerts all across the country. They took audiences by storm when they released their debut album Inuiaat 2000 and scored a massive hit with the track Iggo, which fans still sing along to today. Katuaq is proud to welcome Chilly Friday back for their first concert since 2015.
A Rare Concert Experience
When Chilly Friday takes the stage in Katuaq’s Hans Lynge Hall on Friday, January 29th, the experience will be nothing short of a true rock concert. Katuaq is known for hosting grand concerts in the Foyer with an audience of 1,200 people—something that hasn’t been possible since gathering restrictions came into effect in March last year.
However, that doesn’t mean the audience will miss out on a full rock experience. Chilly Friday will play two back-to-back concerts with 100 attendees each, at 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM respectively.
“Since the concert is taking place in Hans Lynge Hall, it means the audience will be seated,” says Event Manager Camilla Høg.
“But that doesn’t mean the experience will be any less exciting. A spectacular show is planned, just like the ones people know from the Foyer stage, with stunning lighting and an ambitious stage setup.”
