Prussic – Final Performance Breaks Sales Record
After not performing for 12 years, Prussic took the stage for the last time on April 4 and 5 – and both nights were sold out.
The original plan was to hold just one concert, but the tickets sold out in only eight hours. So, an extra night was added, which also sold out.
This brought great joy to the band:
"It's strange, but at the same time wonderful. It's touching to experience so much support," says Maasi Pedersen, and continues:
"We decided to give one last concert as a thank you to all the fans who have supported us through the years. We're happy that everyone in Prussic could be part of it," Maasi Pedersen concludes.
Fought for a Concert for 3 Years
During the concert, wild cheers broke out when Maasi gave a speech and thanked Arny Mogensen for urging Prussic for three years to perform again.
Arny originally encouraged Prussic to hold a concert in celebration of the album's 20th anniversary. When that didn’t happen, he instead encouraged Maasi to celebrate his album’s 20th anniversary. Everything was ready with the musicians – but that didn’t succeed either.
A dream come true
Arny, who grew up with Kunuk and Taatsi, has always dreamed of standing on stage with them since the album was released.
"I’ve dreamed of it since the album came out – and now the dream has come true. It's truly incredible – the word THANKS isn’t enough," says Arny Mogensen, and continues:
"It feels completely unreal to share the stage with them after listening to their music for over 20 years. I’m deeply proud, and it brings me great joy that I was allowed to perform with them," Arny Mogensen concludes.
Katuaq thanks Prussic for holding their final concert at Katuaq.
