But we are not just cooking; we are also curious biologists. Before the fish head to the pots, we will take the time to examine them closely. What did the cod eat? What does the inside of the eye look like, how do the gills function, and what secrets are hidden within the internal organs? It will be a tangible voyage of discovery beneath the surface.
Once our curiosity is satisfied, we will light the fires and get the pots boiling. We will experiment with different cooking methods and flavors, where participants will learn how to make a classic, savory kuisartoq (fish soup). Completely without modern stoves, we will explore cooking over an open flame and see how we can use what nature provides to create a wonderful meal.
Note: All participants can actively engage and take part in all the activities.
