Aajuik is an exciting music project in collaboration with Arctic Sounds, which consists of 16 songwriters and musicians from Greenland, Nunavut and Denmark. The participants have created completely new numbers during their stay in Iceland, and they will now present them for the first time during a festive concert in Katuaq on Tuesday evening. This is a unique opportunity to experience a collaboration between musicians from different countries and cultures.
Wednesday 5 April, at 20:45-00:30 (doors open at 20:00)
Wednesday evening offers concerts with the female artists from Hun Solo and ends with Nina Kreutzmann Jørgensen and band. Nina Kreutzmann Jørgensen will perform with her talented band and present tracks from both her previous and newer releases, including Silarsuaq Takuiuuk and Maalia.
Hun Solo is an award-winning concert concept that celebrates female and non-binary artists and gives them a platform to connect and collaborate. Their mission is to inspire the next generation of female and gender minority artists and advance the conditions for female musicians. For this concert, HUN SOLO will perform a series of unique solo performances from iconic artists such as Jenny Wilson (SE), Soleima (DK), Thelma (GL), Sitrekin (DK) and Nana Jacobi (DK).
Both evenings are a unique opportunity to experience talented musicians and artists from different countries and cultures. The concerts take place on Tuesday 4 April with Aajuik and Wednesday 5 April with Hun Solo and Nina Kreutzmann Jørgensen with band.
Tickets can be bought on Katuaq's website or at the door on the day of the concerts. We look forward to welcoming our guests to an evening of fantastic music and unique experiences.
