Katuaq and the Art School Renew Collaboration Agreement
6. June 2025
Katuaq and the School of Art (Eqqumiitsuliornermik Ilinniarfik) have signed a formal 3-year agreement to collaborate on the annual student exhibition.
The purpose of the agreement is to establish a solid framework for the collaboration that each year results in an exhibition of works created by graduating students from the art school. The exhibition marks the end of the students’ education and gives them the opportunity to present their work to the public.
Both parties emphasize that the collaboration is based on a shared understanding of art and culture as an important and value-creating part of Greenlandic society. The exhibition provides students with an educational and meaningful conclusion to their studies, while visitors to Katuaq gain insight into new artistic expressions and methods.
The agreement helps to strengthen the role of art in society and create more opportunities for young artists in Greenland.
Katuaq is proud to have the opportunity to exhibit art from the next generation of artists who may influence future generations.
The Art School is opening its exhibition today, June 6, and it will be on display through june 22nd.
