Network meeting at Dansehallerne

On January 20, 2026, Katuaq’s music coordinator, Birte Olsen, traveled to Copenhagen to participate in a networking meeting organized by Dansehallerne.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss opportunities for bringing dance to children and young people throughout the Nordic region.

In the autumn, Katuaq sent the dance company Aviaja Dance on tour in Greenland, with stops in Kulusuk, Tasiilaq, Nuuk, Maniitsoq, and Kapisillit, where Aviaja Dance performed free shows and held workshops for schoolchildren. The tour was very successful and provided a strong knowledge base for the discussions at the networking meeting on how dance can reach children and young people—also in Greenland.

The networking meeting brought together participants from Dansehallerne (Denmark), Nordens Hus (the Faroe Islands), Kulturkraft (Åland), and the Suialaa Arts Festival (Greenland).
